Modest
Only modesty can breed success. I have noticed that ego-centric fools may make a go of it and have a short successful sprint in this business. But modesty and humility will bring greater rewards, happier customers and long term marathon like success that is much more fulfilling and satisfying.
Let go of short term high dollar returns for long term steady profits that continue to build upon themselves. We are building something for the long haul here folks, something to be passed down to future generations, we are not a flash in the pan or riding the old wore out chopper wave or just latching on to something we don't believe in to make a quick buck
We have two wheeled hearts and 10W40 veins, we want your business of course but will not sacrifice our souls to do so. We look to keep our heads high and or souls intact. We love being a part of this business and love our customers who allow us to pursue our passion on a daily basis.
Thank you!

Motorsickles and Skateboards
Its a phenomena or maybe not, really not sure how the connection came into play.
I grew up in a small little farm town almost next to the middle of nowhere so naturally as a kid it was dirt bikes, ATVs, snowmobiles, Huffy bicycles and the like, that is until that fateful day my relatives from Georgia came to visit and my cousin had a Nash skateboard in the trunk of the Buick, I rode the wheels off that thing for one glorious week on our little blacktop driveway
Now by coincidence we had a California Free Former I also dug out of the bottom of the toy box, until then that's what it was, an unused toy that collected dust and was all but forgotten but one could just not do the things this Nash would do
Soon thereafter I was begging moms for my very own skateboard and in typical moms penny pinching style i wound up with a Valterra off the shelf from K-Mart. Now of course by now I had worn every Thrasher magazine I could get my paws on absolutely thin. Staring at the pages long after my supposed "bed time" Eventually I got to move up to a Santa Cruz deck yet still had my Valterra trucks and wheels mounted, not to mention by now our driveway had become taken over with cinder blocks 2x4s and scrap plywood
A few years later came cars, girls, reefer and cheap stolen beer and for some time skateboards waned in my life. Later down the road after moving to California I picked them back up full force, hard not to living in San Diego a block from the beach!
Anyway, that's when motorcycles also came back into play, who isn't the king of cool cruising the strip on a CBR1000 or a GSXR750, unfortunately my funds and habits wouldn't allow this at the time but soon enough I had a loud stinking leaking dirty ratty mud crust of a bike, a 550 Yamaha Vision, google it......it was and still is a loathsome little machine but who cared! Finally a sickle of my own again and i was in my world king of cool and riding this to the skatepark with my board bungeed to the passenger seat.
So what is it?? Duane Peters to Ryan Sheckler all been spotted fooling with bikes with motors just as much or more than boards, maybe its the push the envelope thing, maybe its all points in between or none at all. I do know the History of Skateboarding coffee table book seems to get looked at far more than a same similar motorcycle pictorial also laying in the waiting room and that book is a heck of a conversation starter when folks are waiting on tires oil coolant or whatever
So today get out there and ride something with wheels, throw caution to the wind turn off the cell and just live fast for the moment! You will never be this young ever again and skateboarding just as much as motorcycling takes only you and your thoughts far away

Old is new
Look here y'all, its a new day a new dawn and a whole bunch of new new. The retrograde (to my knowledge) has passed us and now we got some work to do.
New gear new products new people new (old) bikes and just all sorts of new going on
If your one of the balls that were dropped CALL ME! Some Guy wants you back as a customer and i will burn a new tire off the Bandit or any other mindless testosterone stunt to let you know we want your business and the opportunity to earn it. I will return phone calls, be full on straight up and may not even check out your old lady when she comes into the shop with you, (unless she is smoking hot!) then i might!
Anyhow......get down to East End, not EEM, East End with the cool little skull logo and the burn out marks in the parking lot. We got tattoos, scars, piercings, free coffee and maybe a Red Bull your way.
Its all about the ride ya dig! Free prize to anyone who mentions this blog post in store! And keep an eye out for updates from the "Not quite an Iron Butt second time in a month trip to Ohio on two wheels" coming this weekend!
Yes......it could get a little R rated on this blog, I mean rarely does a Harley come through the door

Four wheeled Friday
I had to duck outta the shop and traverse Asheville today....with impending rain, extreme fatigue and other excuses i hopped in the cage,
Things i learned.......urban sprawl could be just as bad as urban crowds, horns, brakes, no turn signals......how do people do this in town everyday.....glad i hang in Swanna-nowhere
Also.......women who do yoga.....thank you
Awesome Vintage British motorcycle restorations
Starbucks is not worth the wait in line and "medium" is apparently speaking an ancient un-translatable lost language
I wish i had and next time will even with impending rain take two wheels, no more excuses for not riding other than carrying a stack of lumber for the upcoming indoor half-pipe
Musical interlude.......its pretty awesome!

closed Mondays
yep......you read that right folks, actually sometimes some Guy gets his best work done on Mondays
However this Monday I have some apartment hunting to do, good neighbors are always a plus, when they tell ya its in a good school district I imagine they must be speaking of a flat in Denmark or something
Im really holding out for a place with a pool
